Whistler is 120km (75 miles) north of Vancouver along the scenic “Sea to Sky Highway.” Prepared to be wowed on the 2 hour scenic journey past rushing waterfalls, emerald lakes, pristine old-growth forest and snow-capped mountain views.
Take Hwy #99 through the city onto the north shore. Once here, you will realize why it is called the Sea to Sky Highway. Enjoy the vistas as you travel to Whistler.
Before crossing into BC watch for the RIGHT turn off of I-5 connecting to Hwy #15 (Truck Crossing). This route is much less congested and takes you through Cloverdale to Highway #1 (not 1A). Turn west onto Hwy #1. This will take you onto the north shore and bypass downtown Vancouver. Watch for signs for Hwy #99 to Whistler.
