Testimonials

My husband and I decided to get away from our kids on an overnight trip and Golden Dreams was the perfect location. The B & B is located in a nice residential area. Far enough from all the noise of the village but a nice leisurely 20 minute walk for easy access to food and fun. Terry greated us when we arrived while Ann showed us up to our room. The room is very spacious with a feather top bed and very comfortable linens. The bathroom has radiant floor heating, there is organic soap to wash your hands and bathe with. Lots of towels for the hot tub and your stay. There are nice plush bathrobes and slippers if you so choose to enjoy the hot tub. Ann had sherry and cookies in the guest living room which was self served. Since I have food sensitivities, Ann was kind enough to make me a gluten free dairy free breakfast and offered alternative condiments. Her homemade tomato salsa is to die for. Even though we were only gone for the night, our stay at Golden dreams left us relaxed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this B&B for quality and incredible service. We will definitely be back. Thanks Ann for a great weekend.

In the fourth week of June we stayed 1 night in this lovely, cosy B&B. And we loved it. Ann (owner) is so welcoming and has the highest standard of hospitality. We stayed in the ‘bear’ room. Lovely decorated in a bear style (suited me well ;)) with supurb matrasses and linnen. All rooms have different themes, very cool! The shared bathroom is very clean and full of comfort. The breakfast was legendary delicious, plus her kitchenette was splendid and full of comfort for making our homemade diner. When making contact with other guest is no problem for you during breakfasts, this is the place to be. It will be a very social experience 🙂 And thanks for returning my shoes 🙂

The travel partner and I only had two full days in Whistler. One day was spent shopping in Whistler Village all morning, then a lovely afternoon sunning and swimming at Rainbow Lake, a very short walk away. The best day was spent riding a gondola plus bbq supper up on Whistler Peak. Lots of hikes up there for all levels; if so inclined, bring a light pack, hat, water bottle and good shoes. Be sure to buy the gondola ride with the bbq ticket and you can go up and down the mountains as you please for the day. I would have only wished for a bike as there are great dedicated bike trails all over the immediate area. Rentals could be had, but again we were there for a short time. My personally favorite part was visiting upstairs in the evening with folks from all over the world up in the common sitting room at Golden Dreams. We met people from Australia, Switzerland and France. Very comfortable. My room mate was able to unwind downstairs in the room while I fulfilled my social butterfly soul. Ann’s breakfasts were to die for! Wholesome and well-presented.

No, better than home from home because there was Ann, every morning, cooking a wonderful breakfast for us, from local produce and always delicious and imaginatively presented – and putting herself out for us when we had early starts, which was above and beyond the call of duty. The rooms were spacious and clean and our beds were exceptionally comfortable. We stayed for 8 nights, from August 9th-17th. Our son , daughter-in-law and grand-daughter live just around the corner, so it was perfect for us to stay there for our visit to Whistler. It’s a lovely quiet neighbourhood, away from the hurly burly of Whistler centre – but close enough to walk in if you want to stretch your legs. Unreservedly recommended!

I stayed at Golden Dreams B&B in June for 4 nights to run the Whistler half marathon. Terry and Ann were the most amazing hosts. Each morning Ann created delicious and thoughtful breakfasts and I loved chatting to her about all her health food knowledge. As a solo female traveler Golden Dreams really felt like a home away from home and Terry and Ann looked after me like a family member! It is perfect walking distance to the village (good little warm up for the half marathon) and you run right past it during the run. Thank you for such a memorable stay, I head home in 2 weeks and it was still one of my favourite parts of my trip! Hopefully will come see you again some day.

This was my first time staying in a bed and breakfast and to be honest, I was on the fence about it. This was by far the best experience I’ve had in a long time. Ann and her husband have owned and run this bed and breakfast for many years and they have really perfected the business in my opinion. They were very warm and welcoming, providing enough interaction to make us feel like VIP guests while still allowing us all the flexibility and privacy we wanted. They offered us great, healthy, and fun food for breakfast, different each morning; Information on the mountain and weather at breakfast each morning; Greeted us with snacks and drinks when we’d return from the mountain in the evenings; coupons and promo codes for things to do/eat in the area; they’d even start up a fire and prep the hot tub for us to warm up after a day of skiing. Very clean, well worth the money. By the way, the location is great. Short drive to everything in the area.

We stayed for two nights over my birthday weekend and were impressed from start to end. If you are looking for a quiet, private getaway out of the busy’ness of the Village but still close enough that you can walk into the Village when you want this is the place. Special touches include private guest lounge with wood burning fireplace decorated in rustic cabin style, delicious home-made breakfast with bottomless cup of coffee, large hot tub on the deck (extra special when it was snowing) and first rate service. Thanks Anne & Terry for a fabulous stay!

We had an excellent time staying at Golden Dreams! We really felt at home here and Ann was more than happy to cater to our vegan dietary needs which was huge. The food was delicious and everyone was extremely friendly. A great place to stay while in whistler!
